Chemique Adhesives was formed in 1985 by CEO Mick McMullen and has continued to grow over the years in the UK and Ireland, Europe, Middle East and USA.  Always keen to see a gap in the market and to seize an opportunity, it soon became clear that an engineering division was required to help expand the business further.

This addition is what has set Chemique Adhesives apart from its competitors and has provided customers with the confidence and reassurance of getting the necessary support when required. In the past there have been instances where adhesive manufacturers and equipment suppliers would be divided on who would resolve issues and breakdowns, so taking this problem away was a welcome change.
eng web 1Being the supplier of both the adhesive and application equipment means that as a customer, only one call has to be made should a breakdown arise or a service is required.

In the early days Chemique Adhesives would supply and install simple application systems and service this equipment on a regular basis.  The demand for this service quickly expanded and an engineering division was soon formed consisting of a team of five engineers with dedicated office administrative support.

Over the years Chemique Adhesives has designed and built its own application equipment to accurately meter and apply adhesives from its comprehensive range.  Today, the emphasis is on water-based technology and Chemique Adhesives can offer a complete range of purpose-built systems ranging from single to multi spray gun systems that are regularly used in factories producing furniture for many high street stores and household names.

James Thorpe, Sales Manager of Chemique Adhesives comments “We have the capability to offer bespoke solutions and can design and install a complete system for you including all application equipment and ventilation booths, as well as carry stock of all necessary spares and consumables in our engineering stores”.

Coupled with design and installation, Chemique Adhesives also offer preventative maintenance or service contracts providing extra peace of mind.

Service visits can be arranged as required and as well as this Chemique Adhesives also offer emergency call outs, providing reassurance that help is readily available should a situation arise.

eng web 2Chemique Adhesives also works with some of the leading water-based adhesive automated machinery specialists such as Lamit, Aper and Elektroteks in the ever-growing mattress market.

For those using either one or two component polyurethane adhesives, Chemique Adhesives can offer a variety of solutions from simple hand rolling equipment, handheld rake systems or even fully automated bead lines. In the past some of the largest panel producers in the construction market, truck panel market and leisure / caravan market have benefited from bespoke adhesive systems improving both the manufacturing and application process.

If you have any engineering servicing requirements or would like to talk to us about any upgrades to existing systems or are keen to set up a service contract then please get in touch and we can arrange for one of our team to visit and discuss any equipment requirements you may have.
